**JOB SUMMARY - What will you do?**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee crossing guard service operations across multiple regions. The Operations Manager for the Crossing Guard Division is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of the crossing guard program across Ontario and New Brunswick, along with future expansion. This role ensures safe and reliable coverage of school crossings, manages personnel, and supports strategic planning for service delivery. The Operations Manager ensures service consistency, field team performance, and client satisfaction, while managing personnel, compliance, training, and logistics in coordination with regional service teams. This position reports to the Director of Operations and supervises Service Delivery Managers and regional field staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of the crossing guard division nationally, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant service delivery across all school crossings.
- Lead, mentor, and manage Service Delivery Managers and local supervisory personnel.
- Coordinate recruitment, training, and deployment of crossing guards in partnership with the Service Delivery Manager and HR.
- Design and manage scheduling and deployment strategies to guarantee coverage and minimize service disruptions.
- Approve and monitor schedules to ensure full coverage, adjusting for absences, school holidays, or emergency needs.
- Oversee incident response, discipline, and resolution of performance issues among crossing guards and supervisory staff.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure service quality, coverage efficiency, staff performance, and client satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on KPIs to identify trends, areas for improvement, and operational best practices.
- Maintain accurate records for staffing, incidents, compliance, and payroll support.
- Manage the division’s budget, including staffing costs, equipment procurement, and uniform distribution.
- Implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and employee accountability.
- Assist in proposal development, program expansion planning, and operational budgeting.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership regarding division performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree or diploma in a Business or Security & Protection degree preferred
- Experience in scheduling, field service coordination, or municipal contract management is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-location operations.
- Proven ability to lead and scale high-volume field operations, managing teams of several hundred employees across multiple regions.

- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse workforce.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communicator, capable of resolving conflicts and maintaining professional relationships.
- Proficient in workforce scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
