**Job description**
**About the Position**
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for presenting Hygate to the community, in order to achieve and maintain stabilized occupancy.
This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Executing a provided marketing plan and managing budgets accordingly.
- Maintaining and optimizing a database of all contacts inquiring about Hygate, and utilizing that database to maximize marketing and sales efforts.
- Communicating with and educating prospective residents and their families about Hygate and what it has to offer, leading to signed leases.
- Running events in the community, including information sessions, outreach events and more.
- Executing advertising campaigns, including coordination between graphic designers and community publications.
- Managing collateral and promotional merchandise, including obtaining quotes and coordinating with suppliers and designers as needed.
- Overseeing of website traffic and making routine content updates.
- Overseeing social media accounts.
- Forging connections with community partners, including hospitals, medical practitioners, churches, seniors’ groups and more.
- Ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.
Compensation includes salary, as well as commission.
**Valued Skills and Experience**
- The team member we are looking for is someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who loves to engage with new contacts and close the deal.
- Previous experience in a relationship-based sales environment is necessary. Sales of this nature require a high level of trust over an extended period of time. Experience in the retirement residence industry is an asset, but not required.
- Some technical/computer skills are required. Aside from typical familiarity with Windows and Office software, this position will be required to work with a contact database management software, as well as oversee business-based social media accounts and basic website content updates (Wordpress). Higher level of experience in Excel, including use of formulas and lookup functions is also an asset.
