**The Opportunity**:
Paracel Laboratories is actively searching for an** Intermediate Inorganic Analyst** to work in our Wet Chem group. The Wet Chem group is responsible for a range of colourimetric, gravimetric analyses, and potentiometric analyses for water and soil extracts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for specific analytical tasks within the Wet Chemistry group, following established methods and QC protocols. The Intermediate Analyst will also assist the Senior analyst address any technical issues, ensures QA/QC compliance is maintained, and assist in the investigations of non-conformances.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform extractions and analyses of environmental samples following documented procedures.
- Perform data integration, calculation, and data entry of results into LIMS.
- Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments as required.
- Prepare reagents and standards as required.
- Responsible for meeting required turnaround times and ensuring that analytical holding times are met.
- Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues and non-conformances.
- Track use of consumables inventory, requesting supplies as required.
- Complies with company QA/QC and Health & Safety policies and procedures and addresses any issues pertaining to the department.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- B.Sc. in Chemistry (or related field), with a minimum of 5-years related work experience.
- Experience within the environmental testing sector is strongly preferred.
- Experience with general lab equipment, including balances, pipettes, probe.
- Working knowledge and operational skills for a wide range of analytical instrumentation, including UV/VIS spectrometer, ISE probes, DO-meter, IC, Autotitrator.
- Proven computer skills including MS office (Word and Excel).
- Good understanding of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) an asset.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and balancing workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Superb attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly reliable and deadline-driven.
