**Team Caduceon in Ottawa **is looking for a reliable and productive individual to operate our Agilent ICP-OES systems in our Metals Department.

**Position**: **ICP Tech** - Entry - Intermediate Level Tech - Full-Time Permanent

**Location**: Ottawa, ON - 2378 Holly Lane K1V 7P1

Analysis of environmental samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES).

Sample Matrices include: Drinking Waters, Groundwaters, Surface Waters, Waste Waters, Liquid Sludges, Solid Sludges, Soils, Sediments, Paints and Air Filters.

Sample preparation includes, oven drying, crushing, pulverizing, grinding, sieving, weighing on an analytical balance, block digestions with a variety of acid mixtures (primarily Nitric & Hydrochloric Acids)

Under the supervision of a trained ICP-OES operator you will train and learn Caduceon's operating procedures for all processes required.

You will follow all QA/QC protocols required for a fully accredited lab under ISO Guide 17025.

Basic knowledge of the safe handling of acids (i.e. HNO3, HCl, and H2SO4) and bases (NaOH) is required.

Caduceon Environmental Labs is located at 2378 Holly Lane, Ottawa, ON. K1V 7P1.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
