**Job Overview**:
We are currently seeking dedicated Medical Office Assistants to join our team. This role involves assisting our healthcare professionals in their day-to-day tasks, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing patient records and appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Coordinating patient flow within the clinic
- Facilitating communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and external providers
- Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment rooms
- Assisting with patient education under the direction of the healthcare professional
- Handling telephone enquiries, triage calls and arranging consultations
- Managing billing, including submission of claims and reconciliation
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a specialist practice
- Proficiency in using EMR systems, preferably the Plexia EMR
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
- High level of professionalism and ethics
- Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, as well as privacy and confidentiality rules as per the Health Information Protection Act

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
