Accounting/administrative Assistant

Westcor Thermal is a family owned business. For over 20 years Westcor thermal has specialized in Construction coatings, fire protection, insulation and various other construction services in the Port Kells area of north Surrey BC. We are in search of a Temporary Bookkeeper, who is an expert in using QuickBooks Online who can help billings, A/R, Tax filing, and help with administration tasks. This position is a maternity leave, however, there is high potential for permanent employment as we do seek to find a consistent office administrator.
- Progress billings, full cycle accounting (A/P, A/R, account reconciliations, etc.)
- Preparation of month end financial statements
- Payroll administration, expense and tax Filing
- Payroll tax compliance
- Sales tax (GST, PST, etc.) compliance
- Invoicing, Monthly collection reports, A/R receivables.
**Requirements**:
- A certificate or diploma in bookkeeping or accounting
- 3-5 years of experience with bookkeeping and quickbooks. - Must have graduated from a Canadian post secondary School.
- Proficient use of the English language, outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of Quick Books Online
- Essential is a strong understanding of bookkeeping and the General Accounting Procedures.
- Superior skills in Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Office Hours are strict and are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. There is no flexibility in work hours.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
