The Medical Secretary is responsible for promptly answering all phone calls and managing doctors' schedules. Additionally, they oversee the secretary desk and respond to inquiries from patients, staff, physicians, and the public.

**The Medical Secretary is responsible for**:

- Booking appointments for physicians as per the physician's schedule of availability
- Booking appointments from referrals from other clinics, hospitals and physicians out of clinic
- Entering appointment data into our EMR program
- Canceling, confirming and re-booking patients as needed
- Recording and relaying telephone messages for physicians
- Explaining physician instructions to patients including pre-op, medical tests, procedures, etc.
- Screening physician's calls
- Compiling and sending patient records
- Other duties as required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.29 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

**Experience**:

- Medical office experience: 1 year (required)
- EMR systems: 1 year (required)
