**Job description**:
Reporting directly to the company President and leadership team, you will take ownership of the Sales Department and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all sales operations, activities, and staff. As a member of the leadership team you will also provide input into the strategic decisions and direction of the company.

Hardy Sales is a local and family owned business since 1982.

**Job Duties**:

- Set and exceed achievable sales and margin targets.
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Hiring, training, motivating, and advising within the sales department.
- Counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Implement sales programs by working with clients, vendors, processors, and brokers.
- Generate leads, and establish and nurture client and vendor relationships.
- Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings.
- Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

**Job Requirements**:

- Five or more years of experience in managing sales, preferably in a branded consumer perishables environment.
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
