Event Sales Specialist Distillery Events

**What you will be doing**:

- Lead the team by example to exhibit, encourage and motivate the DRC’s Mission & Values, and inspire the team with your exciting vision for the future
- Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and take every opportunity to promote the venue and the DRC
- Leading with creative solutions and vision within each step of the Client Experience.
- Respond to incoming client inquiries in a thorough and timely fashion.
- Implement departmental procedures and policies that ensure a seamless and exceptional client experience from initial planning through to the execution of the event, including: accurate and detailed function sheets, floor plans, cost estimates and thorough communication with clients and appropriate departments.
- Network and create relationships with new, current and potential clients.
- Independently schedule and host client tours, menu tastings and details meetings with direct clients and assigned planners.
- Conduct site tours/visits with potential clients. Lead as a catering, event and venue expert for all Distillery Restaurants’ event locations and services.
- Support the team by identifying and uncovering market intelligence in business trends and marketing opportunities that can improve overall event sales and catering performance such as social media, networking events, site visits and other sales and marketing activities.
- Track status of new business and reasons for lost business with recommendations to the management team.
- Coordinate event logistics from menu selection through contracting, fulfillment, BEOs, invoicing and event wrap up and follow up. Work within catering software to manage client files.
- Work with vendors and suppliers for select events to organize orders, deliveries, pickups and finding new ways to work with vendor partners to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
- Facilitate communication before, during and post event with pertinent Event Operations team to ensure a high level of service, recap and event log.
- Follow up with clients using information from past events creating opportunity for new bookings.
- Participate in sales stream and large-project development strategy and project development groups as assigned.
