Calgary, Canada Heritage Park Historical Village Full time

**Job Summary**:

- Under the direction of the Manager, Food Services, this position is responsible for staffing, planning, organizing and supervising the Custodial & Event Support staff at Heritage Park to allow for the daily up keep of designated buildings and exhibits and the set-up/tear down of functions._

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for obtaining assigned keys at the beginning of scheduled shift, then locking the buildings upon completion of tasks and returning the keys to Security at the end of each shift.
- Responsible for obtaining assigned radio, should one be required, and returning it at the end of shift.
- Cleans all designated buildings, exhibits and washrooms as directed.
- Sets-up and tears down for catered and special events as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assists with administrative tasks such as time sheets, schedules, and the purchasing and requisitioning of supplies
- Train staff in all aspects of their duties including proper safety procedures and machine operation

**Education and Experience**:

- Completion of high school and 1 to 2 years related experience (or an equivalent combination).
- Requires a valid class 5 driver’s license.

**Skills**:

- Good supervisory and organizational skills are essential. Must be able to adapt quickly to new situations.
- Must be people oriented with good leadership and strong customer service skills.

**Special Clothing and Equipment**:

- This is a costumed position with costume(s) to be provided by Heritage Park.
- Appropriate footwear, as designated by the Costume Designer, will be provided by the employee.

**Special Working Conditions**:

- Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from standing, stooping, and lifting to operating trucks and other equipment. Exposure to a variety of weather conditions is to be expected.

**Hours of Work**:

- 40 hours per week with varied scheduled hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2V 2X3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Driver's License (required)
