The Strategic Engagement and Policy Innovation (SEPI) branch is part of the Consultation, Land and Policy (CLP) division in Indigenous Relations. SEPI provides a strong foundation of policy development, strategic engagement, consultation capacity development, expert advice and relationship-building through education, training, and capacity funding.
**Role Responsibilities**:
Are you an experienced administrative leader with a passion for supporting government operations and enhancing team performance? The Ministry of Indigenous Relations is looking for a Branch Coordinator to join the Strategic Engagement and Policy Innovation (SEPI) Branch. This key role will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the branch’s administrative functions and support the Executive Director (ED) in coordinating the delivery of important programs and services.
As the Branch Coordinator, you will supervise a small administrative team, oversee logistics for key events, and provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director’s office. You will play an essential role in streamlining processes, coordinating action requests, and ensuring the branch’s administrative functions run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the administrative team to ensure timely and accurate support to the branch’s programs and services.
- Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, and executive meetings, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
- Provide direct support to the Executive Director by managing correspondence, organizing meetings, and maintaining records.
- Oversee branch administration processes such as financial management, HR, utilizing our internal systems.
- Track and manage Action Requests, ensuring timely responses and proper document management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve administrative processes and ensure alignment with government policies.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma and three years of directly related experience.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.
**Relevant Experience/Skills**
- Administrative Support: Providing high-level administrative support in a fast-paced environment, including calendar management and document preparation.
- Correspondence Support: Track and manage correspondence to ensure timely responses were provided.
- Information Management Systems: Using information management systems and software to support operational tasks.
- Budget and Financial Management: Monitoring budgets, processing expenses, and ensuring financial records are kept up to date, adhering to government protocols.

- Project Management Skills: Experience in coordinating or managing projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met, particularly in administrative contexts.
