**The Role**

As the Procurement Specialist, you'll be pivotal in securing the supply of cannabis products, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness throughout the procurement process. Work closely with various stakeholders including suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline procurement operations and maintain a smooth supply chain.

**Responsibilities**
- Be the point person for the procurement lifecycle, focusing on repetitive purchases to ensure a steady supply.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to find and assess potential suppliers that match our goals and standards.
- Evaluate prospective suppliers considering factors like quality, pricing, reliability, and sustainability.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on market trends and look for opportunities to save costs through smart sourcing.
- Keep an eye on inventory levels and find ways to manage them efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of inventory, transactions, and other supply chain data.
- Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise in the procurement process.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in procurement (preferred).
- Located in the Edmonton Area or able to commute reliably.
- Successful track record in managing repetitive procurement processes.
- Familiarity with supplier evaluation and pre-qualification methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to entering the facility
