We are seeking a proactive and detail orientated **CSO/Safety Lead Jr** to join our team.

As a **CSO/Safety Lead Jr** and a member of the team, you will be responsible for proactively implementing and maintaining on-site safety programs and training.

- Ensure safety is a priority that is managed in every project

**SAFETY LEAD**
- Supervise compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and best practices on-site to meet or exceed all WorkSafeBC regulations and requirements
- Stop unsafe work or any work that does not meet our requirements and standards
- implement, and evaluate our health and safety programs
- Lead our company in establishing and maintaining COR Safety certification
- Help manager to implement and manage our injury management program
- Help manager to review, implement and support site specific safe work practices & safe job procedures
- Participate and support our team in conducting effective incident investigations that identify underlying causes and effective corrective measures
- Help manager create and review incident reports, monthly statistics, and inspection reports and review with manager
- WorkSafeBC Claims and Health and safety-related issues assist as required.
- Assist with Joint Health & Safety Meetings and take accurate minutes.
- Ensure we maintain and replenish required safety and first aid gear Report site activities to the office Safety Lead
- Maintain and replenish required safety and first aid on site

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**
- BC Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer designation (NCSO)
- 5+ years of experience as a safety lead in commercial, institutional, and civil construction
- Exceptional communication, management, customer service, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Strong skills in safety training certifications
- Strong construction safety leadership, and approach to all work
- A high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Highly Self-motivated and accountable
- Access to a vehicle and a valid BC Driver’s License to drive to project sites throughout the lower mainland.
- Demonstrated success in effectively mentoring and managing a team
- Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach
- Solution-focused with a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and allocate time/resources accordingly
