What You'll Do
Promote and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
Investigate and document incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and detailed safety records and reporting.
Provide coaching and training to staff and subcontractors on safe work practices.
Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure a culture of safety is upheld across all projects.
What We're Looking For
Valid Construction Safety Officer (CSO) certification in British Columbia.
2+ years of construction safety experience (industrial or heavy construction experience considered an asset).
Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and OH&S standards.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with field staff and management.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a safe work environment.
