**About the Job**
Inland Industrial Supply Ltd. is a wholesale distributor supplying a variety of safety tools and job site consumables with exceptional service to the industrial construction and fabricating market. We are searching for a talented and highly self-motivated professional to join our Assembly, Repair, and Certification (ARC) team at our main office in Edmonton.
As a Service Writer for safety equipment, fall protection, cable, cord, gas monitoring, and welding products such as remotes and cables, the primary responsibility in this role is to manage the day-to-day administrative and clerical functions of the service department. This position requires strong organizational, customer, and attention to detail, as well as a passion for working with others in a fast-paced environment.
As the first point of contact, you will represent the ARC Service department and the company to our customers. Some of the job duties include, but are not limited to:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Process customers' purchase orders and confer with logistics department to ensure the timely delivery of orders
- Following-up on status of repairs to ensure units will be ready when promised.
- Advising customers of the status of repairs and any delays when required.
- Regularly auditing partner vendor quotes, and completed repairs to ensure quality maintenance that is consistent and aligned with our company standards
- Contacting customers when additional work is required ensuring that work is authorized.
- Notify customers of unforeseen delivery delays or other complications and facilitating suitable intervention.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with the drive to meet tight deadlines
- Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High sense of urgency with respect to customer service
**Qualifications**
- Applicants must be willing to work in Edmonton, Alberta
- Service Writer or mechanical experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years Customer Service experience
- 2-5 years Service Department technical experience or mechanical background preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Previous experience with SAP Database (an asset, not required)
- Has a valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
