**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and provide courteous and accurate service.
- Book service appointments for both shop and service trucks, accurately recording customers’ repair requests and creating a service schedule.
- Use shop management software FullBay to open and close work orders, attach approval signatures, create invoices and collect payment when job is complete.
- Work closely with the Shop Foreman and Service Truck Technicians for smooth operations of both shop and service trucks.
- Keep customers updated regularly regarding ongoing repair status in the shop, estimated time of arrival for service calls and updates for completed service calls.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, other employees and owners.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of office procedures.
- Excellent organizational ability.
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a service writer preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Familiarity shop management software a plus

As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support. You will be responsible for managing work schedules, communicating with technicians, and accurately documenting customer concerns. Your strong customer service skills and mechanical knowledge will be essential in providing estimates, explaining repair costs, and addressing any questions or concerns that customers may have. Additionally, your ability to maintain accurate records will contribute to the smooth operation of the business.

**Salary**: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
