**ABOUT THE ROLE **

- 5-7 years of experience in a similar position, preferably incorporating HR, payroll, and benefits
- Solid understanding of payroll and benefits administration and compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an appreciation for chatting with a variety of individuals from various backgrounds and with various levels of experience
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Go-getters and true out-of-the-box thinkers are always a pleasure to work with
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team since you’ll be doing both regularly
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HR software and databases including SAP is ideal
- A degree or diploma that contributes to the organization is considered an asset
This position travels quarterly for 2-3 days at a time within Canada. In addition, the role will attend various meetings in the USA approximately twice a year for a few days, maybe up to a week. There is some flexibility with the meeting times, and we’ll give you lots of advance notice, so you’ll be able to coordinate everything successfully.
While our office does have access to transit (very limited service), the location isn’t what we would call “transit-friendly” but many of our employees make it work. We’re at 7791 Nelson Road in Richmond and complimentary onsite parking is available for those who prefer to drive.
