Payroll Specialist

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS and ensure data integrity across payroll systems.
- Perform account reconciliation and assist with bookkeeping tasks related to payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, ADP, or Workday to manage payroll transactions effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure proper onboarding of new employees into the payroll system.
- Generate reports on payroll metrics and provide analysis to management for decision-making purposes.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices within the industry.
**Skills**
- Proficient in payroll software including ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and Workday.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll processing.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
- Experience in human resources functions as they relate to payroll management.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently.
