Avenir senior living operates an 83 bed purpose built memory care facility on Vancouver Island near the shore of long lake in Nanaimo BC.

**Position summary**:
Responsible for developing and implementing the sales and marketing program to ensure stabilized occupancy and revenue targets are achieved. Be an active member of the communities management team adhering to company policy and procedures and upholding the company's mission, philosophy and values.

**Essential job functions**:
Work closely with the local and corporate management team in developing and implementing our sales and marketing plans that include but are not limited to:

- Maintain and develop relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Organize community events to elevate our profile in the community
- Implement advertising and marketing plans in accordance with corporate marketing plan and local budget
- Work in partnership with the community staff to ensure all aspects of the sales process are managed professionally and efficiently
- Responsible to manage the department budget, maintain accurate records and explain variances as required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong command of the English language, written oral and comprehension, a second language is an asset
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook experience with Yardi CRM software is an asset
- Able to organize and manage electronic file storage
- History of success in a dynamic sales-oriented role
- Experience in the senior housing market

**Requirements**:

- Ability to pass a criminal record check for dealing with vulnerable adults
- Able to work effectively and positively in a multi discipline environment
- Medical clearance letter that you are fit to work
- Provide a negative test result for Tuberculosis
- Valid Class 5 drivers license with no infractions that would exclude your ability to operate a fleet motor vehicle

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
