**Your Role as a Floor Supervisor**:
Supervision: Leading by example will be key to this position As a Floor Supervisor you will be responsible for opening and closing tasks, ensuring the team is kept busy, engaging with new customers, regulars and wine club members and more
Guest Experience: You'll be the face of our restaurant and tasting room, ensuring every guest feels welcome, heard, and satisfied. Your genuine smile and exceptional service will leave a lasting impression.
Order Accuracy: Attention to detail is key As a Floor Supervisor it is key your knowledge on both the restaurant Toast POS and the cellar Commerce7 POS is accurate as employees will come to you with questions.
Wine and Menu Knowledge: Help customers select food and beverages through romancing and knowledge of the menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines and pairings; answering food preparation questions. High level of wine, liquor and cocktail knowledge is considered an asset. As well as extensive training on the food menu.
Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly with your fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to create a harmonious dining and tasting experience.
Hygiene and Safety: Maintain cleanliness standards, ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and team.

As a Cannon Estate Winery Floor Supervisor, you are responsible for positive guest interactions while taking orders and serving food, and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner. This position plays a role in creating and providing an outstanding level of customer experience and satisfaction. Therefore, as a Floor Supervisor, it is essential that you maintain an energetic, friendly, and welcoming attitude at all times. Floor Supervisors are expected to be attentive to our guests’ needs making them feel welcome and comfortable. Since guest satisfaction plays a key role in our restaurant, Floor Supervisors are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take initiative and action to correct any problems.
**Major Responsibilities**
- Working in both our cellar tasting room and our on-site lounge
- Hosting wine tastings, sharing our story, wines and vineyard
- Learn and present wine product tasting notes to customers from both winery labels
- Serve Customers
- Receive and process orders from customers, data entry, invoicing, and credit card transactions on POS system; collect and provide change for cash transactions as required
- Check inventory and coordinate with the Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager for product availability
- Pick and package wine orders purchased by customers
- Exercises due diligence to maintain the accuracy of customer transactions
- Cleaning duties of cellar tasting area as well as picnic
