**Job Summary**
The Site Supervisor will oversee tile and flooring installation projects across various job sites in the Greater Vancouver area. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, coordination, and the physical ability to assist with material handling.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Oversee Installation Teams**: Supervise and manage tile and flooring installers, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- **Site Coordination**: Attend site coordination meetings with client site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align on project timelines, requirements, and progress.
- **Material Management**: Assist with deliveries and distribute materials on-site, including lifting and carrying boxes or bags of materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Tracking material usage and needs.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect work in progress and completed installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce workplace safety standards in accordance with WorkSafe BC regulations, reporting any discrepancies or violations to the Project Manager.
- **Reporting**: Provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager on project status, challenges, and resource needs.
- **Travel**: Travel to various job sites across the Lower Mainland area as required, ensuring flexibility and timely presence at each location.
- **Team Leadership**: Coordinate and schedule activities, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tile and/or flooring installation.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with installing various flooring types, including tile, ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, laminate and hardwood. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- **Certifications**: Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation required. First Aid certification and Forklift certification are assets.
- **Skills**: Strong knowledge of workplace safety and supervisory principles. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- **Availability**: Regular work days are the goal, but the ability to be flexible with hours as the job site may require is needed.
**Salary and Benefits**
- **Competitive Salary Range**: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (approximately $34 - $43 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
- **Benefits**: Extended health and dental plan, including vision care, upon meeting eligibility requirements.
**Working Conditions**
- Work is performed at various job sites across the Greater Vancouver area, requiring travel.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions year-round and physically demanding tasks.
- Standard work hours with occasional on-call requirements for project coordination.
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
