**About the position**:
Reporting to the controller, we are currently looking for an Accounts Payable to join our team to assist with our accounting and finance department. You would take ownership of Accounts Payable function, activities including the accurate and timely processing of daily/outstanding payables, maintaining spreadsheets, and reconciling accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support accounts payable by processing a high volume of invoices (both PO and non-PO) daily, ensuring proper coding
- Enter invoices, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors.
- Assist on year-end tasks and special projects, as needed
- Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings
- Interacting with management, customers, and vendors
- Support and participate in physical inventory counts
- Three-way match between Purchase order, Shipping documents and Invoice
- Initiate purchase return process and follow up on credit notes
- Other ad-hoc tasks

- Ability and confidence to speak with vendors and customers and resolve issues
- Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
- Ability to juggle competing demands to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated interpersonal competence including reliability, consistency, and adaptability in day-to-day interactions

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent analytical, financial, and mathematical abilities
- Minimum 2 years of University of College program in accounting completed
- 2 to 3 years of accounting work experience in a retail company is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft NAV is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong business communication skills

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
