The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores. In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, Organizational Health and Safety and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion teams. In HR, we know that ensuring employees feel valued and respected and providing opportunities for learning and development is how our business can drive efficiencies and profitability. **About this role**: Reporting to the Director, Reconciliation and Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (REDI), the position supports the development and implementation of corporate equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives aligned with governing legislation and ministry mandate letters. This role will partner with internal business units, LDB leaders and other ministries to lead initiatives and programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. This position plays a critical role within the Human Resources division and broader organization in advancing the EDI strategy at the LDB. A criminal record check is required. An eligibility list for permanent or temporary future opportunities may be established. **Position requirements**: **Education and Experience**: Degree or Diploma in Law or a relevant area of study, preferably with a focus on dispute resolution, human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion with a minimum 4 years of recent, related experience*. - Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last 6 years and must include: - Experience at a managerial level related to the promotion and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives. - Experience leading communications and change management in support of complex issues. - Demonstrated experience in establishing credible programs and services to meet organizational strategic goals and needs. - Experience in a large, unionized environment, including experience providing consultative advice to executive leadership, human resource practitioners, managers, and supervisors. - Experience leading and developing others as a direct supervisor.
