**Position Details**:

- **Compensation**: $30-$40/hour depending on experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Framing, forming, finishing, and general carpentry on custom residential and light commercial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and shop drawings
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds building codes and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite
- Collaborate with team members, sub-trades, and clients
- Represent DIRO Contracting professionally on every job

**Requirements**:
We hire for **attitude and integrity first**, then skills. You must be:

- Experienced in residential carpentry (minimum 3+ years preferred)
- Skilled with tools and knowledgeable in construction methods
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to doing high-quality work
- Independent, but a team player when it counts
- Focused on excellence and doing the job right the first time
- Coachable and willing to learn new methods
- Organized and safety-conscious
- Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in all conditions

**Bonus if you have**:

- Your own vehicle and basic tools
- Experience with renovations and custom builds
- First Aid or other construction-related certifications
- A great sense of humour (we like to keep it fun too)

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 42 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Carpentry: 3 years (preferred)
