Supply Planning Team Lead, Kitchener Location

**What it’s all about**:
You are all about people, driving results and delivering service excellence through your strategic and decisive experiences Supply Chain Planning. You will be a leader amongst the team as the dedicated planner for our Key Account customers, delivering our customer value proposition while ensuring business needs are met.

**What you’ll do**:

- Provide direct leadership to Supply Planners (SPs) with the support of the Senior Manager;
- Onboard new team members, and provide training and coaching of existing team members on best-in-class processes;
- Contribute to the development and execution of Strategic Plans for the department and the organization;
- Provide assistance with prioritizing Purchase Orders during periods of capacity constraints;
- Liaise with the Operations, Transportation & Sales teams to resolve tactical, day-to-day issues;
- Lead and support the FIFO management process to ensure at risk inventory is proactively being identified and actioned prior to expiration. (Collaboration with Planners, Vendors & Sales);
- Lead and support the Reclamation & Customer Credit Approval processes to ensure we are maximizing our debits to vendors for repayment. (Collaboration with Planners, Vendors & Sales);
- Update, develop, and maintain SOP’s for core tasks for the department;
- Drive the accuracy of Purchase Orders in FORMS, following up with Vendors on PO confirmations and ensuring Delivery Dates are accurate & up-to-date. Act as a back-up for vacations, unplanned absences or vacancies for the CSCPs, SOs, and Sr. Manager;
- Assist in the execution of forward buys. Assist in ensuring Master Data in E3 is correct and up-to-date at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in buying/planning within the foodservice industry or relevant experience;
- A varied background in Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management with a clear understanding of logistics and timing of purchasing effectively;
- An independent and analytical thinker who is always positioning profitability and feasibility with each decision;
- Strong initiative and sense of urgency when faced with challenges;
- Demonstrated communication skills, and strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers;
- Solid experience in negotiations and working with various groups of people;

This is a leadership role within Flanagan Foodservice and as such will require the individual to be onsite as per our current policies.
