**SHOP PLANNER**
- **Production Planning & Scheduling**:
Develop and monitor shop production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fabricated products
- **Resource Coordination**:
Liaise with the Shop Manager and Purchasing Specialist to secure and manage the availability of raw materials, equipment, and labor
- **Technical Analysis**:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data to define job execution requirements and identify potential issues
- **Material Management**:
Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchase orders with the Shop Manager, Purchasing Specialist and Inventory Coordinator for necessary materials and ensure their timely arrival to prevent shortages
- **Documentation & Work Orders**:
Create detailed work packages for other shop members, including clear instructions, sequence descriptions, bills of materials, and quality requirements
- **Performance Monitoring & Improvement**:
Track production progress, analyze performance against targets, and implement strategies for process improvement and cost optimization
- **Quality & Safety Compliance**:
Ensure all shop production activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:
Work closely with senior management, sales, purchasing, and other teams to align production with demand forecasts and project requirements
- **Technical Proficiency**:
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including various welding, cutting, and machining techniques
- **Blueprint Interpretation**:
Ability to read and work with 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical data sheets. **(Solidworks, AutoCAD proficiency** **a must)**
- **Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills**:
Analyze production specifications, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to improve efficiency
- **Communication Skills**:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders
- **Organizational Skills**:
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail for managing schedules and workflows
- **Computer Literacy**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 5-8 years of planning experience in a shop or manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge gained in a mild and stainless-steel fabrication shop and fitting experience required
- Achieve top quality results following oral and/or printed work instructions
- Perform their duties in a safety-driven environment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Highly competent with both verbal and written English communication skills
