We are seeking a **Manager, Manufacturing Optimization and Planning** to join our team in **Cambridge, ON**. Reporting to the **VP, Component Operations**, this role is critical in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations. You will directly supervise a **Facilities Engineer, Building Subject Matter Expert, and a Planner/Scheduler**, playing a key role in shaping our operational strategy.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Strategic Planning & Execution**
- Develop and implement comprehensive **manufacturing optimization strategies** aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for **process improvements, cost savings, and production efficiency**.
- Utilize **capacity analysis** to support **capital expenditure planning** for manufacturing space, tooling, and facilities.
- Oversee **facility leasing strategies**, ensuring efficient use of production space.

**Process Improvement & Operational Excellence**
- Analyze **manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods** to drive efficiency.
- Implement **lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies**, and other best practices.
- Establish and monitor **key performance indicators (KPIs)** to measure progress and success.
- Lead strategic manufacturing projects, ensuring **on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery**.

**Cross-Functional Leadership**
- Collaborate with **engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams** to align optimization plans.
- Act as a **bridge between leadership and shop-floor teams** to drive alignment on goals and expectations.
- Foster a **culture of innovation and continuous improvement** through knowledge-sharing across departments.

**Resource Management & Technology Integration**
- Oversee resource allocation, including **personnel, equipment, and materials**, for maximum efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate **new technologies, automation solutions, and manufacturing software**.
- Work alongside **Continuous Improvement (CI) teams** to implement operational excellence frameworks.
- Stay ahead of **industry trends and emerging technologies** to drive innovation.

**Training & Development**
- Promote a **culture of learning and operational excellence** to develop high-performing teams.

**What You Bring**:

- Degree in **Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field**.
- **10+ years of experience** in manufacturing optimization, production planning, or a related field, with proven leadership experience.
- Expertise in **lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies** (certifications preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using **data analysis tools and manufacturing software** (ERP, MES, simulation tools).
- Demonstrated ability to drive **operational efficiency, cost savings, and process innovation**.
- Excellent **leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills**.
- Outstanding **communication and interpersonal abilities**, with experience working across all levels of an organization.
