Job Purpose

The Project Manager handles specific projects for the assigned group(s), with overall responsibility for the planning, executing, and controlling of all phases of the project to meet the defined scope of work, timeline and budget.

Essential Functions

Establish and drive project schedules and commitments - 30%

Manage assignments, schedules, and deliverables for project team members to meet the scope of work, timeline, and budgets - 30%

Lead project team meetings - 20%

Create and deliver project updates and reports to project team members, management, and clients - 20%

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience

Project Management

Education

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Project Management certification preferred

Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires a high level of independence and leadership ability

Ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure without direct supervision

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to manage others without direct reporting responsibility

Ability to translate contract language and scope-of-work documents into project schedules

Knowledge of relevant discipline (e.g., IT, telecommunications)

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

Supervisory Responsibilities

Leads project teams without direct supervisory responsibilities

May supervise contract employees
