**Opportunity Description**

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, deliver quality outputs, and maintain strong client relationships.

Overall Responsibilities include:

- Planning: Defining project scope, developing timelines, and resource allocation.
- Execution: Implementing the project plan, managing tasks, and monitoring progress.
- Resource Management: Allocating and coordinating resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget.
- Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed of project status, progress, and any potential issues.
- Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact the project.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintaining project documentation, including plans, reports, and updates.
- Team Leadership: Leading and motivating project team members.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Budget Management: Managing the project budget and ensuring that resources are used efficiently.

**Qualifications**
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders and team members.
- Leadership: Ability to motivate and lead teams towards project goals.
- Planning and Organization: Ability to develop detailed project plans and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and meet project timelines.
- Resource Management: Ability to effectively allocate and manage project resources.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of pipeline, powerline, municipal infrastructure, road construction and vegetation clearing activities.
- Negotiation, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong technical writing, editing, and review skills.
- Professional, safety conscious, and client focused attitude.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in an environmental science.
- Qualify for membership with either the Association of Alberta Forest Management Professionals, Alberta Institute of Agrologists, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Alberta Society of Professional Biologists, or Alberta Professional Planners Institute.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing technical teams and projects.
- Proven expertise in Alberta’s natural resource development policies and regulations.
- Previous experience with building strong client relations and business development skills.
- Experience with project management, quality assurance, and contract negotiation.
- A valid Alberta driver’s license.
