Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Utilize construction management software to create detailed cost estimates
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and budgets
- Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to determine material and labor costs
- Analyze project risks and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline the scope of work, cost breakdowns, and timelines
- Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiations as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
- Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
- Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
- Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
- Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
- Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Project Manager/ Estimator in the construction industry
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Kubla, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
