Child & Youth Development Facilitator

**Position Summary: Casual on call - Availability - Monday through Friday afternoons 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM**

**CYD Facilitator**

Provide group facilitation to children with diverse abilities who are referred through Child and Youth with Special Needs division of the Ministry of Child and Family Development. Groups may be provided in the community, at the Child Development Centre or other appropriate settings.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a diploma in relevant post-secondary education and experience in the Human Service/Child & Youth Care fields.
- Minimum 2 years recent experience working with children and their families.
- Experience with individuals with special needs an asset.
- Demonstrated high level of understanding of NCDC and community programs and resources.
- Experience and commitment to working in a family centered, collaborative service delivery model.
- Proven ability in interpersonal relations, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of family systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills working in a computer environment; Microsoft Office (current version) skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency to work within a database.
- Criminal Records Check Clearance.
- Physically capable of performing all aspects of the job.
- Computer literacy.
