We’re currently looking for an **in-house IT Administrator** in **North Bay** to keep our systems reliable, secure, and well-documented. If you’re someone who likes variety, ownership, and hands-on work across hardware and infrastructure, this is your opportunity to have a direct impact.

**The Role**

As our IT Administrator, you’ll be the point person for **all things tech in the office**—from setting up new workstations and managing cloud servers, to tracking our hardware inventory, maintaining backups, and supporting our day-to-day IT needs.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a small-team environment, takes initiative, and enjoys both strategic and tactical problem solving.

**What You’ll DoWorkstation & End-User Support**
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals (Windows/macOS).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for in-office staff.
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.

**Server & Network Maintenance**
- Maintain virtual servers, ensuring backups and patching are current.
- Monitor local networks (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN), and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Manage internal services including file storage and print servers.

**Inventory Tracking**
- Maintain a current and accurate log of all IT equipment.
- Track equipment assignments, lifecycle status, and maintenance history.
- Coordinate hardware procurement and safe equipment disposal.
- Track installed software, license expirations, and usage compliance.

**Security & Backups**
- Oversee endpoint protection and firewall configurations.
- Ensure regular backups are running and verifiable.
- Support physical and digital access controls in line with privacy and security expectations.
- Provide smooth tech onboarding for new hires and handle device/user decommissioning.
- Assist with internal IT policies, access controls, and periodic security reviews.

**Who You Are**

**Must-Haves**
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or system administration role.
- Experience managing workstations (Windows and macOS).
- Comfortable supporting internal servers and basic networking equipment.
- Highly organized
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to write or edit scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.

**Nice-to-Haves**
- Familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Exposure to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
