The Accounting Role is a critical contributor to the day to day success of the accounting department. This role is responsible for the procurement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, financial close, and general administration. The person is this role will join a team dedicated to contributing to Apogee’s growth strategy and experience a wide range of accounting functions.

**Essential job functions**:
This key Accounting Role would be responsible for the following:

- Accounts Payable
- G/L invoices coding
- Invoice vouchering
- Manage employee expense reimbursement process
- Preparing and generating check runs/electronic payments
- Invoicing of Apogee services and products
- Preparing and creating vendor Purchase Order’s
- Generating customer Sales Quotes
- Accounts Receivable
- Manage and contact customers regarding past due invoices and schedule payments
- Provide customer statements and explanation of charges
- Financial Close
- Participate in the monthly close process
- Post journal entries for AR/AP/Inventory/Prepaids/Cash/Debt
- Provide expense analysis
- Provide analysis on revenue trends
- Assist in year end audit

**Job Requirements**:

- Must have a passion for customer service and problem solving.
- Must have experience in general customer relations functions as defined in this Job Description.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must have outstanding phone and computer skills.
- At a minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience in accounting role
- Detail oriented
- QuickBooks experience a plus.
- This position is located in our (155 Fernand St) Toronto, ON office.
- Weekday regular business hours.
