**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a residential/group home setting. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalized care and assistance.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and lifting when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Maintain cleanliness in the living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with dementia care, autism, hearing impairments and other specialized needs as required.

**Skills**
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is highly desirable.
- Strong background in patient care, including working with individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices.
- Ability to perform cleaning duties while maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary needs and preferences.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and residential teams.
- Experience communicating using American Sign Language for those with hearing impairments is highly desired.
- First aid with CPR is required within 90 days of hire.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check required prior to commencing employment required.
- Legally able to work in Canada and able to submit study or work permit if applicable.
