Skill Requirements**:American Sign Language** experience is required (level 3 or higher preferred),

Education: Post-Secondary Education

**ONLY CANDIDATES WITH AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE WILL BE CONSIDERED**

Experience: 3 years

Languages**:American Sign Language** experience is required (level 3 or higher preferred), Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Individual’s home and Community environment

Client: Male, Deaf, intellectual disability, mental health disability,

Specific Skills: Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs, provide crisis intervention, resolve conflict situations, provided life skills training, assist in accessing community events and agencies as required, liaise with other community agencies engaged in the consumers life, liaise with guardian/parent, family, and Support home provider as identified or required, provide personal services support to persons with special needs, maintain records such as log notes, communication & medical notes, maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, assist in evaluating the effectiveness of programs

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, physically demanding

Work Location Information: Work in employers/client's home and community at large

Essential Skills: ASL experience is required (level 3 or higher preferred), reading text, document use, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, finding information

Other Information: Position supports individual with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Hours of employment are primarily day but may include, occasional evening.

**Salary**: $19.00-$23.83 per hour
