About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Community Care Worker to join our team in supporting individuals in a residential or group home setting. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalized care, daily assistance, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
  • Provide medication support in line with prescribed instructions
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote well-being
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and lifting, ensuring client safety
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Monitor and document changes in client behavior, health, or condition
  • Support individuals with specialized needs such as dementia, autism, or hearing impairments
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or community care settings preferred
  • Knowledge of disability support, personal care, and client-centered service
  • Ability to manage cleaning tasks and maintain a safe home environment
  • Competency in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements
  • Understanding of medication administration protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) is a strong asset
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check (mandatory before start)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (must submit valid work or study permit if applicable)
