About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Community Care Worker to join our team in supporting individuals in a residential or group home setting. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalized care, daily assistance, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide medication support in line with prescribed instructions
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote well-being
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and lifting, ensuring client safety
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and document changes in client behavior, health, or condition
- Support individuals with specialized needs such as dementia, autism, or hearing impairments
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or community care settings preferred
- Knowledge of disability support, personal care, and client-centered service
- Ability to manage cleaning tasks and maintain a safe home environment
- Competency in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements
- Understanding of medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with American Sign Language (ASL) is a strong asset
- Emergency First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check (mandatory before start)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (must submit valid work or study permit if applicable)
