Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000

**Position Summary**

The Human Resource Generalist will work in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager to meet departmental/plant goals and objectives. Specifically, the HR Generalist will contribute and assist with all the activities related to hourly employees including recruitment, disability management, onboard facilitation, training, insurance administration, weekly staffing, internal/external postings, policy development, health & safety, and labour relations. The HR Generalist will advise hourly employees on policies, programs, procedures, and relevant employment legislation.

**Responsibilities**

1. In collaboration with the Human Resource Manager, contribute and assist in delivering on the requirements for recruitment activity to ensure the attraction, assessment, and retention of qualified employees to drive growth plans and deliver operational excellence. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Develop the job specifications for the positions
- Develop the internal/external job posting for each position.
- Source and schedule the hiring Manager for virtual and/or in-person interviews
- Facilitate the orientation process using appropriate vehicles and technology
- Develop and maintain job descriptions

2. Assist local leadership team with assessing and completing employee relation coaching including employee performance issues, attendance, and policy/procedure interpretation, discipline procedures and resolution. Provide counsel on applicable provincial legislation as required (i.e., Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, etc.).

3. In collaboration with the HR Manager, file WSIB and Non-occupational injury/disability claims and partner with local leadership team to identify suitable modified duties and accommodation plan tasks, objectives, and responsibilities in the absence of the HR Manager.

4. Administration of user enrolment in online/theoretical/practical training and assist with course development and Learning Plan assignments. Partner with local leadership teams to assist in maintaining up to date training records.

5. In collaboration with the HR Manager, assist in implementing and maintaining all plant level H&S programs including LOTO, Machine Safety, validation audits, JHSC administration, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective action planning, etc

6. In collaboration with the HR Manager, maintain accurate and up to date HRIS, benefit, and pension systems, and process enrolments for new, existing, and departing employees in accordance with established timelines.

7. Maintain organization of all employee files and related documents (ie. training, coaching, medical info, etc ).

8. In collaboration with the HR Manager, develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to maintain manpower levels that maximize production efficiency.

9. Complete other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Completion of a post secondary program in Human Resource Management
- Minimum 3 years working experience in Human Resources
- Minimum 3 years working experience in Health & Safety related functions
- CHRP designation (is an asset)
- Minimum 1 years working experience in a manufacturing environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
