Soileos is our first product: a cellulose-based smart micronutrient granular fertilizer. **Who we’re looking for**: A reliable, driven, and enthusiastic AP Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Accounts Payable Specialist will primarily be responsible for managing the Company’s accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of invoices. This role will provide a variety of recordkeeping tasks for the Finance team, and provide back-up administrative support as needed. **As a member of the Finance team, your primary responsibilities are to**: - Process all claims-related payables and provide support documentation for project claims as needed. - Entering sales invoices, bills invoices, issuing payments and troubleshooting; - Managing Aged AP with weekly cash forecast to meet the weekly payables’ commitment; - Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards including obtaining all the backup documentation - Prepare and process ACH/wire transfers and credit card payments - Fill out vendor forms and other end-of-sale documents - Support all month-end and quarter-end close processes; - Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; - Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues and ensure accurate record-keeping; - Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure the timely transfer of accurate and complete financial information. - Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required - Administrative tasks and other duties, as needed **You’ll be a great match if you have these skills & experience**: - Associate, diploma or certification in the business/accounting field is an asset - A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Accounts Payable; - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets; - You handle numbers with accuracy and high attention to detail - You enjoy working in a collaborative work environment and coordinating with your team to juggle multiple competing priorities steam - You take pride in being a self-motivated person, fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver - You are friendly and personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - You show initiative and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - You have excellent documentation and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail - You can successfully juggle multiple tasks and have outstanding time management skills - You are accountable, reliable, punctual, and resilient, with an unwavering work ethic - You are eager to solve problems both big and small **Your compensation + benefits** - A competitive base salary - Extended health coverage - Long-term disability coverage - In-house training provided by Lucent BioSciences **Why work for Lucent Bio?** - The culture is dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial - Your coworkers are collaborative, proactive, and interesting. - Your compensation is comprehensive, competitive, and can include benefits like extended health insurance - Your priorities matter.
