**About Tripshepherd**

Tripshepherd is on a mission to revolutionize how travellers discover, share, and book authentic experiences. As we scale our platform, we’re seeking research‑savvy interns to help us understand our users and market—from Gen Z explorers planning bachelorette trips to local hosts offering hidden‑gem tours.

**What You’ll Do**
- **Plan & Conduct Qualitative Studies**:

- Design and run remote interviews, contextual inquiries, and diary studies with travellers and hosts.
- Facilitate focus groups and usability sessions to uncover pain points in onboarding, search, and booking flows.
- **Field & Market Research**:

- Audit competitor platforms, travel‑tech trends, and social‑video markets to map opportunities and gaps.
- Synthesize secondary research (reports, academic papers) into concise insights decks.
- **Data Analysis & Synthesis**:

- Code and thematically analyze qualitative data using tools like Dedoose or NVivo.
- Create customer journey maps, empathy maps, and opportunity solution trees.
- **Cross‑Functional Collaboration**:

- Present findings to design, product, and growth teams in “research show‑and‑tell” sessions.
- Partner with our Senior Growth UX/UI Designer to translate insights into hypotheses for A/B tests.
- **Research Operations & Documentation**:

- Recruit and screen participants in compliance with Canadian privacy and labour guidelines.
- Maintain a living repository of interview transcripts, research reports, and user personas.

**Who You Are**
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Human‑Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Design Research, Anthropology, or related field) with a strong emphasis on user‑centred methods.
- Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods—interviews, usability testing, surveys, basic statistics.
- Excellent communication skills: crafting discussion guides, moderating sessions, and presenting clear, actionable insights.
- Organized and self‑driven: able to manage participant pipelines, research schedules, and deliverables with mínimal supervision.
- Passion for travel, social video, or marketplace platforms—and an appetite for uncovering what makes users tick.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
