Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time International Communications Associate in the International Division. The starting salary is $30.91 /hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Niagara Corporate Business Centre located next to the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**

  • Develop content and tactics for the annual communications (and marketing) plan under the guidance of the Coordinator, Communications and Promotions
  • Generate or follow-up on news content and other stories for international students, staff and new initiatives
  • Plan, research and write content for use in internal and external publications including social media
  • Conduct interviews with a wide range of individuals both inside and outside the College
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate copy within tight deadlines
  • Liaise within all departments within International and with Schools and Divisions across Niagara College
  • Collaborate with the college’s communications department to provide content and develop strategic initiatives around communications
  • Track international publications of Niagara College content
  • Liaise with the Marketing department including schedule integration
  • Prepare and distribute copy and materials in cooperation with Marketing
  • Plan and coordinate marketing project proposals and tracking systems
  • Assist in design and creation of international proposal/agreement templates
  • Maintain and update records, schedules, work orders and ensures all deadlines are met
  • Assist in the marketing planning and execution of events
  • Write copy for marketing materials that is consistent with overall Niagara College branding
  • Conduct proofing of materials
  • Post pertinent information for social media as required

**Qualifications**

  • Three (3) year diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, or similar field of study
  • Three (3) years product or service marketing experience with a focus on campaign development and execution
