Looking for a change, an opportunity to showcase your exceptional skills?
The place of work is in the Bahamas in Nassau, make sure your passport is valid for the duration of work.
Your role as Executive Chef will be to plan, organize, direct and control the activities of a kitchen in order to ensure the performance of the service, and the quality of the meals served to the clientele of the establishment. You will also have to direct the menu and kitchen staff.
**Minimum of two years commitment, full-time installation required and facilitated. Work permits, accommodation and travel will be provided by the client.**
**Tasks include but are not limited to**:
- Establish, enforce and enforce kitchen and company policies and procedures
- Develop menus, banquets menus and other spécial menus
- Requisition and ordering of food, equipment, dishes and household products
- Oversee all kitchen activities (cleanliness of kitchens and equipment, handling of appliances and food, meeting quality standards and freshness of food, etc.)
- Conduct daily inspections of work areas and ensure compliance with occupational health, health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with other departments in the institution and participate in executive committee meetings
**Requirements**:
English language skills required
- An Associate Degree or bachelor’s degree in hotel management OR Culinary Arts or a related field from an accredited university or equivalent
You must have 3-5 years experience specializing in seafood management, inventory menu design and labour relations management. Experience in sushi, preparation of raw fish.
