**As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.**
**Position Summary**:
Under general guidance, the position ensures employee and benefits records are reviewed, validated, and accurately inputted, in the HR systems. The position participates in information sharing and problem solving related to administration of employee data, Compensation, and Benefits matters.
**Responsibilities**:
- Reviews and validates new hires and other employee related forms, benefit intake forms, position approval forms, or other related documentation; ensures that proper approvals have been provided in compliance with the FNHA Policies and Directives.
- Sets up employee profiles in the HR system upon hire or rehire and processes all job-related changes as required. This includes creating and/or updating employee biographical, job, benefits information; enrolling employees on relevant leave plans, and any other related information that is required in accordance with HR Policies and Collective Agreements.
- Processes terminations in HR system, as required. This includes updating employee specific information related to job, benefits, leave entitlement/plans, and any other related information that is required.
- In collaboration with HR and Payroll teams, administers unpaid leave of absence, including benefits and maternity/parental leave allowance plans by updating the HR system in a timely manner.
- In collaboration with HR and Payroll teams, administers gradual return to work by updating job status and benefit eligibility and plans in the HR systems.
- Process setup, change, and termination of new and former Board of Directors, FNHC members, and FNHDA members.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree, plus 2 to 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Administration, Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience working in Human Resources.
- Working towards CPHR is an asset.
**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:
- Strong attention to detail, the ability to produce high quality work under time pressure and to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to work in a team environment demonstrating a positive approach and co-operation coupled with a strong customer service orientation.
- Displays initiative, tact, diplomacy, good judgement and use discretion with highly confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Physical ability to perform duties.
