**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze drawings and specifications from a multi-discipline approach
- Formulate cost breakdown
- Prepare final estimate summaries of assigned scope and verify estimate completeness and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills to review scope of work, breakdown structures to complete budgeting and estimates for labor, material and equipment required for execution
- Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
- Provide clear detailed quantity take offs as required
- Organize sub-contractor’s quotations, review to insure quotes meet contract documents
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Review change orders and identify any potential risks
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in construction - A background in wharfs would be an asset
- Graduate from post-secondary engineering or technology programs i.e. civil, structural, mechanical or construction management program
- Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Exceptional communication skills
