**Job Summary**
Are you an experienced Project Estimator & Scheduler looking for an exciting role in the Mineral Extracting industry. We’re seeking a motivated person to take on a full-time, in-person in Windsor, permanent role focused on project estimation, cost control, planning and scheduling for engineering projects in the mineral extracting industry.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare an estimate document based on the scope of work and class of estimate required.
- Prepare estimating plan as the 1st step in the estimating process.
- Prepare basis of estimates.
- Prepare estimates based on MTO, market data and historical/database costing information
- Utilize bottom-up and first-principles approaches within EPCM, EPC, and conceptual estimating methodologies
- Consolidate and input bid information from tenders into the estimate.
- Produce accurate cost-estimate as per schedule requirements.
- Benchmark estimate against similar historical projects (i.e. rates and quantities).
- Calculate and analyze appropriate contingencies for all direct and indirect costs
- Progress and coordination meetings.
- Soliciting and maintaining communication with clients
- Create, develop and maintain updated and accurate project schedules
- Perform monthly schedule updates and cost analyses
- Perform Critical Path Analysis and report.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the project schedule
- Develop and run various schedule scenarios as required

**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years experience in EPC/EPCM projects, with expertise in cost estimation, planning and scheduling and project controls
- Engineering degree preferably in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 10 years relevant experience
- Good understanding and knowledge of applicable North American estimating standards and specifications
- Skilled in producing, reading, and manipulating schedules and scheduling reports
- Strong familiarity with Earned Value Management
- High level of competence in the use of Oracle Primavera, NetPoint and /or other scheduling software
- Experience working on technical projects.
