**Job Title**: Oracle Database Administrator with DB2 L3 Support

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain **Oracle databases** (11g, 12c, 19c) in high-availability environments
- Provide **L3 support** for **DB2 databases**, addressing escalated incidents, performance tuning, and issue resolution
- Perform database patching, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations
- Monitor database performance and proactively optimize queries, indexes, and schema designs
- Implement security standards and compliance measures for both Oracle and DB2 databases
- Create and maintain documentation related to architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical database support

**Required Qualifications**:

- **5+ years** of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments
- Solid experience providing **L3 DBA support for DB2 (LUW or z/OS)**:

- Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, and Performance Tuning tools
- Strong knowledge of DB2 utilities, backups, HADR, and performance tuning
- Experience with database automation, scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, etc.), and monitoring tools
- Understanding of database security best practices and compliance standards
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

**Preferred Skills**:

- Exposure to cloud database services (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, IBM Cloud)
- Experience with Oracle RAC and ASM
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and working in a ticket-based support environment (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), IBM Certified DB2 DBA (a plus)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
