**Background**:Our valued financial services client is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Specialist to design and implement robust migration strategies for Oracle databases. This role involves supporting high availability (HA) configurations, conducting thorough post-migration validation, and configuring Oracle RAC and Data Guard where applicable. The specialist will be responsible for performing data integrity checks, executing rollback testing, and ensuring seamless transition of database services. Additionally, the role includes documenting all database configurations, procedures, and best practices to support operational continuity and compliance.

**Qualifications**:

- 8 years experience in Oracle Database Administration

**Responsibilities/Deliverables**:

- Design and implement comprehensive migration strategies for Oracle databases, ensuring mínimal downtime and data integrity.
- Configure and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery, where applicable.
- Support the setup and validation of high availability (HA) environments to ensure continuous database operations.
- Perform detailed post-migration validation to confirm successful data transfer and system functionality.
- Conduct rigorous data integrity checks and rollback testing to ensure reliability and recoverability of migrated databases.
- Document all database configurations, migration procedures, and operational workflows for future reference and compliance.
- Monitor and tune database performance during and after migration to maintain optimal service levels.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards during all phases of database migration and configuration.
