**This position of "FLEET MANAGER" is primarily responsible for building and maintaining** **high quality relationships with drivers** **, managing driver performance, and providing** **the necessary support to SAFETY & REPAIR to ensure optimal** **efficiency.** **Responsibilities**: - Coordinate, schedule and audit vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical and electrical repair to trucks and trailers and heavy equipment. - Train new drivers, and hire new drivers based on company requirement. - Prioritize and assign work to meet company needs - Ensure quality, compliance and safety of company's assets - Control repair, inventory and labor costs - Coach and mentor junior repair mechanics. - Monitor associate work levels - Manage facilities, assuring a clean and safe work environment - Work closely with dispatch and mobile crews to ensure coordination of required parts are pre-ordered/ ordered for weekend repairs - Oversee the preventative maintenance program, to minimize running repairs and down time - Coordinate with drivers & make sure equipment is available, dependable and always safe to operate before there trips. - Coordinate with safety, mechanic to make sure annual safety, pm, services are done on time and recorded safely, and makes sure repair inventory stock is updated, and each equipment cost is recorded in excel, or quick books. - Negotiate service agreements with third party repair facilities to ensure cost efficiencies and reduced non-productive down time. - Fuel cost savings are done by providing knowledge to drivers where to fuel. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $62,000.00-$90,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Disability insurance Schedule: - 10 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2021-12-13
