We are looking for an experienced, seasoned Vice President of Operations or Chief Operating Officer to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of the business. This role is a key member of the senior management team.
Your job is to drive our team’s success by managing and launching a state-of-the-art technology platform, including the software development team and all of the operational functions.
In this role, you will foster and lead a world class product development team to deliver the best digital marketing experiences for the industry. You grey hair and wrinkles prove you have the battle scars of success with bringing software development projects to launch and financial success
**Main Responsibilities**
- Keep CEO laser-focused by removing and unblocking all distractions.
- Analyze and work to deeply understand the founders’ goals and protect their time accordingly.
- Develop and implement organized filing systems.
- Manage active personal and professional calendars.
- Arrange complex and detailed domestic and international travel plans and itineraries.
- Communicate directly, on behalf of the executive team, with external and internal stakeholders, as needed.
- Prioritize conflicting requests and needs and handle matters proactively, swiftly, and to completion while meeting deadlines.
- Assist the CEO with ad hoc projects and support, including personal events and family needs.
- A variety of personal and executive assistant tasks e.g., arranging travel, shopping, sorting papers, organizing calendar, filing, managing inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
**Skills and Requirements**
- Previous experience at a high-growth, fast-paced start-up, ideally in which you have provided administrative and logístical support to start-up founders or executives.
- Expert level knowledge with the Office 365 and tech savy.
- Proactive and resourceful approach to your work.
- Natural problem solver with an ability to think on your feet and propose alternative solutions.
- Excellent organization, time management, able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Acute attention to detail - extremely organized, with a knack for noticing and remembering the fine details.
- A people-first mentality and the ability to anticipate needs and preferences.
- Working independently.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English & Chinese
- Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a start-up and a fast-paced CEO.
- A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is an asset - there may be personal tasks requiring transit in and around the Toronto area
**Working Conditions**
- Considerable multi-tasking, extreme attention to detail required, and pressure to meet deadlines
- Working hours are irregular and extended due to meeting schedules and special projects
- High paced and deadline-driven
- High level of responsibility for accuracy of work
- Work efficiently with many distractions and frequent interruptions
- Working collaboratively and cross-departmentally
- Must be comfortable around pets
- Strategisense operates as a virtual company on Eastern Standard Time
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
