**Position Type**: Permanent Full-time

**Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

**Location**: Richmond, BC

**Department**: Finance

ContainerWorld Forwarding Services Inc. is British Columbia's premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; a local, privately owned company with approximately 500 employees throughout its three provincial facilities.

We are presently recruiting for a full time **Accounts Payable** position available in our Finance department.

**The main responsibilities for this position include**:

- Maintains all Accounts Payable/Insurance claim records in Accpac ensuring timely payment to vendors and customers
- Reconciles Vendor Statements to Accpac and resolve any discrepancies
- Interfaces all Accounts Receivable invoices into Accpac
- Issues payments and prepare deposits relating to all COD, Visa and Keg transactions liaising with the Customer Service Representatives
- Maintains tracking and approval of all demurrage/detention related invoices
- Opens and distribute all incoming mail to correct department/person

**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting theory
- Experience working on Sage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires strong interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers
- A self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Commitment to meeting deadlines
