As a System Administrator at Mucci Farms, your primary role involves maintaining, optimizing and securing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. Success in this position is measured by achieving high system uptime, minimizing security vulnerabilities, and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues. **Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- Implementation of software upgrades; including operating systems, production software upgrades and other enhancements as required
- Design, develop, test, implement and oversee IT systems in the Mucci Group of Companies
- Review existing IT systems and internal processes for all facilities in Canada and US
- Implementation of software upgrades; including operating systems, production software upgrades and other enhancements as required
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computer systems
- Assist with tickets outlining user support requests and work as an escalation point for I.T. related issues.
- Assist in the documentation of systems and procedures
- Member of a project team regarding implementation of technology solutions for business needs
- Coordinate with vendors regarding hardware/software deployments and infrastructure changes
- Rotating after hours On-call Support
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Post-Secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study is strongly preferred
- Combination of education and experience will be considered
- 2+ years of experience as a Server Admin with Microsoft Products (Windows Server, Exchange)
- Experience with Vmware, Citrix and Veeam an asset
- Proven ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (written and verbal) in English
- Proven track record with for having excellent customer service skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
**Physical Abilities**:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.
